Abigail Arellano really knew she found the one on the drive home.
She had just adopted Loki from the Oconee Humane Society in Seneca, South Carolina, when her new pup did something so touching it is melting hearts around the world.
“I just adopted this dog and he held my hand the whole way home,” Arellano wrote with her video posted to TikTok.
The video has 7.2 million views, more than 1 million likes and over 30,000 messages of love.
“He’s such a sweet boy 🥰 ” she posted.

The humane society, where Arellano actually works as a pet care clinic vet techician, couldn’t be happier for the new family.
Their backstory is one of love at first sight.
“Loki got very sick after coming into the shelter and had to be treated at our new Pet Care Clinic,” the humane society explained.
“That’s where the bond began to build between Abby and Loki. She wanted to help this dog so much, she medically fostered him as he recovered. He integrated well into the family and her young son fell in love with the pup too.”
Everyone knew it was meant to be.
“When Loki was well enough to return to the adoption center, Abby just couldn’t let him go,” the shelter added. “She made it official and the video shows how grateful Loki was for her decision.
