It may have been just another day on the way to work for this busy beaver, but for commuters in Washington, D.C. the tiny ball of fluff wasn’t the usual rodent you’d see on the streets.
Jonathan Murray captured video of the industrious little beaver at the Van Ness Metro station on Wednesday.
The beaver plodded around. Climbed on a child’s foot. And even received a pat on the back for its work ethic.
“Baby Beaver on the loose outside Van Ness UDC Metro,” Murray posted on Twitter.

But don’t worry. The beaver was scooped up by D.C. Animal Care and Control and released back into the wild.
