It turns out The Terminator is no match for an elephant.
Arnold Schwarzenegger recently marvelled at an elephant sighting while on safari in South Africa. The body builder turned movie star turned politician was in the country for the Arnold Sports Festival and Arnold Classic Africa when he came face-to-face with a hulking elephant.
“I couldn’t have written this safari encounter better if it was a movie,” he wrote on Facebook.
The environmentalist and his companions were hunkered down in a vehicle watching as an elephant casually moved away from them and then came back for a closer look.
“I’m absolutely in awe of these beautiful, strong animals, even though some of us had to change our pants after this,” Schwarzenegger wrote.
That’s when the elephant took a run at them proving even the star of Predator was no match for this giant.
Schwarzenegger also used the video to take a swipe at poachers, which are wiping out wild elephant populations across Africa and Asia.
“We need to stop killing them – take a photo, not a shot,” he added. “Would you rather be able to experience these creatures or a hunk of ivory? I thought so.”
The video has been viewed almost 2 million times on Facebook.
