Baby Yoda has captured hearts all over the universe, and now, the little green alien has a cute little doppelgänger competing for the internet’s affection.
A stray cat named Joy looks shockingly similar to The Mandalorian’s runaway scene stealer.
“Many on social media have dubbed her Yoda Cat because some see a striking resemblance to Yoda from Star Wars,” notes the Humane Society of Rowan County, North Carolina.
The similarities are real, they are.
Joy was found by a woman in Kannapolis, who called the humane society, which in turn brought the cat to veterinarians for care.
“Joy had a wound around her neck and an upper respiratory infection,” the humane society added. “She is currently receiving treatment for both. She has a long road of recovery ahead of her.”
People are already asking about adopting Yoda Cat, er, Joy.
But it will be a while before she’s ready to go to her forever home.
Meantime, the organization is asking for donations to help cover medical bills — and anything donated on top of that, will go to help other homeless animals.
So back to Baby Yoda, for now.
The Mandalorian creator and showrunner Jon Favreau shared an image of the little fella.
