Bear attack in B.C.

We love man versus beast stories. And, Elias Hart has one such tale after an aggressive black bear knocked him down and chased him over a fence before being frightened off by some passing cars. The Mission, B.C. man walked away with a few scratches.

The B.C. government offers some helpful bear safety tips. However, the rule tree looks tougher to master than conquering the LSAT. Play dead if a grizzly attacks in a defensive manner. But don’t play dead if you catch a black bear by surprise. And, don’t play dead if either type of bear has stalked you and is attacking on the offense.
