This was one block the goalie at a football match in Crete wasn’t expecting to make.
When a billy goat wandered on to the field, the goalie was the first to block the critter, grabbing the goat by the horn and leading him off.
But the goat really wanted to stay. A member of the opposing team also tried to help. But the determined goat, keen to stay in the game, wasn’t deterred.
Finally the mean referee jumped in and decisively led the goat away.
Play resumed.
Then the goat came back, hopping back on to the field as the game stopped.
This time a fan came on to the field and took the goat away.
