In the pantheon of beauty competitions, this one has gone to the dogs.
And gal named Zsa Zsa is top pooch.
That’s right, the World’s Ugliest Dog Contest crowned a new winner at the Sonoma-Marin Fair over the weekend.
Megan Brainard showed off Zsa Zsa, a 9-year-old English bulldog, who has a rather unique feature.
“Her tongue almost drags on the floor when he walks. It’s real!,” say organizers of the competition, which is held every year in San Francisco Bay area. “She got a manicure just for this occasion.

But winning didn’t come easily.
“She was a puppy mill dog for 5 years in Missouri, and instead of placing her in a loving home at her end of breeding, she was put in a dog auction,” her competition profile explains. “Zsa Zsa was then purchased by Underdog Rescue. Her mother saw her beautiful picture on pet finder and HAD TO HAVE HER! She now lives out her retired life in Anoka, MN.”
And not unlike Best in Show, the winner goes on the talk show circuit.
