Cat cafe opens in London

Now your cat can make you feel inferior in a cafe and look at you with disdain while you’re drinking coffee in a public place.

London’s first cafe open to cats and humans has just opened.

Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium in east London is the place to go if you want to enjoy a cup of coffee in the company of several felines. More than 3,000 people attempted to book a seat at the cafe within hours of its opening date being announced online, crashing the cafe’s website.

Now cat cafes aren’t new. In fact, there’s about 100 of them in Asia, specifically in Taiwan, Japan and China.

But this is the first one to open in England. Already, 11 felines are part of Lady Dinah’s crew who work for cafe owner Lauren Pears, a self-confessed crazy cat lady.
