Chloe the French bulldog theft caught on video – and search goes viral

Shaughnessy Keely was kind enough to let a stranger pet her dog, Chloe, while she was at work in Vancouver. Within seconds the stranger had the 10-month-old French bulldog in her arms and waltzed out the door and ran toward a black car with no licence plate. Keely contacted police and has turned to social media to help locate her beloved pooch.

“This was very obviously a planned robbery. Luckily for us, we have surveillance cameras,” Keely wrote on Facebook about the April 17 theft.

“THIS HORRIBLE PERSON stole our 10 month old French Bulldog, Chloe, last night from my work!”

“If any of my followers in Vancouver know of this young woman or have seen our precious Chloe, PLEAAAASE contact either @kyleboosh or myself AND/OR the Vancouver Police Department at 604-717-3321. We are so heartbroken and just want her back home safely! THANK-YOU!!!”

The online search for Chloe has spread like wildfire prompting Keely to ask supporters on Saturday night to stop “messaging, commenting, and sending threats” to one woman cyber-sleuths have misidentified as the thief. Meanwhile, police continue to investigate.
