Colombian police jump into raging river to rescue dog

We won’t keep you in suspense.

There’s a very happy ending in this video of a dramatic rescue by Colombian police as they jump in to help save a struggling dog that fell into a swollen river raging after flash floods.

In Bosnia, remember the group of rescuers who pulled that dog from the swollen river?

Every second is heart-pounding as the terrified critter bobs in and out of view and above the water line, appearing to smash into rocks.

One of the officers yells “Jump in, Jump in!” and when the officer does, anything can happen.

Fortunately, the officer is able to pull the dog out and as another performs CPR on the animal, one officer rubs its chest.

The dog fell into the muddy water near Salgar, a region hit by a mudslide.
