Comfort dogs arrive in Parkland, Florida to help give hugs after shooting

There may come a day when Tobias and Jacob and Hannah and Ruthie Comfort Dogs won’t be needed.

But until that day comes, these comfort dogs who rush to the scene to help mourners after mass shootings deal with their loss with hugs and comfort are ready to provide support.

Jacob in June 2016 comforted those affected by the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando. Then just four months ago he flew to Vegas to help the families of the 58 people killed grieve.

In Parkland right now, Jacob is there along with 18 other dogs helping students who lost classmates in the latest shooting.
