A herd of cows trampled a hiker to death in Austria, The Associated Press reported today.
Police in Vienna told AP about 20 cows and their calves attacked and killed a 45-year-old German woman, who was walking through their fenced-in pasture in Tyrol province on Monday. The animals were apparently startled by the sight of the woman’s dog, which was on a leash. Attempts to revive the victim, who is not being identified, were unsuccessful.
