This is terrible and whoever did this with their bow and arrow deserves to be shot by Katniss Everdeen.
A Maple Ridge woman name Karen Morris was horrified when she spotted a deer who was staggering around after being shot with an arrow. She called the B.C. Conservation Service Officer Service who dispatched a CO to look for the deer. But the deer hasn’t been located.
Cody Ambrose with the CSOS told CBC’s On The Coast that sadly it’s not the first time conservation officers have tried to find deers who have been targeted.
“We’ve had what we like to call ‘urban poachers’ in Maple Ridge, discharging bows in closed areas, in closed seasons, and targeting deer within the Maple Ridge area.”
