Dog left homeless after owner’s death gets new lease on life

When Woody’s owner died, family members sold the house, but abandoned the fluffy poodle.

“For a year, he waited under a nearby shed hoping his owner would return,” notes a new video about the dog. Skinny and blind in one eye, neighbours would leave food and water for the wayward pooch. That’s when the Los Angeles-based animal rescue Hope For Paws was finally alerted and stepped in to transform the sad little dog.

The organization also produced another heartwarming adoption video, which was posted to YouTube this week and already has more than 830,000 views. It’s also receiving lots of love on Facebook, but no word yet if Woody has found his new forever home.
