FLOTUS and First Dogs, Major and Champ, promote mask use in new PSA

Pets have been a comfort during the pandemic and in a new public service announcement, First Lady Jill Biden — and official White House pooches — are using their high-profile platform to remind people to wear masks.

Champ and Major are seen lounging in front of a fireplace in the new 30-second PSA.

FLOTUS talks about the joy animals have brought people during the coronavirus crisis.

“The unconditional love of a dog is one of the most beautiful things on Earth,” she says. “We owe it to them to keep ourselves healthy.”

“So please keep wearing your masks — even when you’re out walking your dog,” Biden adds.

Then then looks at Champ and Major and says, “Right guys?”

One dog barks in response.

Timed to the Super Bowl, the ad first airs during the annual Puppy Bowl.

“Watch a special message from First Lady Jill Biden during #PuppyBowl Sunday, February 7 at 2pm ET on Animal Planet and streaming live on @discoveryplus,” Animal Planet tweeted.
