How do you get 200 dogs to stage an uprising?

Director Kornél Mundruczó used real dogs in his award-winning film White God to tell the story of what happens when Hagen, played by actor dog Bodie, is separated from his owner.

In one memorable scene, Bodie leads an uprising of hundreds of dogs against the men who mistreat and abuse them (Boo!! on bad owners, yay for dogs!!). We caught a glimpse of the scene and it’s pretty amazing.

Dozens of real dogs are used and the director worked with trainer Teresa Ann Miller to ensure no dogs were actually harmed.

Watched this Slate interview to show how they did it including using canine POV.
