If this isn’t the best, it’s definitely the furriest face off you will ever see.
Lake is a companion dog. Specifically, Lake is 17-tear-old Danny McHale’s companion dog.
And together, they represented Canine Companions for Independence at center ice during a San Jose Sharks home game. The Sharks Foundation donated $50,000 to the charitable cause just before the team took on the Vancouver Canucks the other night.
The non-profit has been providing service dogs to children and adults with disabilities for more than 40 years.
A week of training with Danny paid off as Lake grabbed the puck and dropped it for the ceremonial face-off.
As you can see, Lake really was the star of the game.
12/10 would have this very good dog drop the puck again. pic.twitter.com/UjZfcZ4yQv

.@SharksCare was honored to host Danny and his canine companion, Lake, for the #SJSharks ceremonial puck drop tonight 🐶🏒. Danny was paired w/ Lake through @ccicanine who is receiving a $50,000 Community Assist Grant to help others in need, like Danny! #SeasonOfGiving https://t.co/wRwxkvtF4x
