She entered the world premature and tiny, but Fiona quickly captured hearts.
Today, as the most famous hippo on the planet turns 2-years-old, everyone at the Cincinnati Zoo and beyond is celebrating.
Timothy, the hippo at the San Antonio Zoo, even sent a love letter serenade to mark the occasion.
As you do.
Dear Fiona @CincinnatiZoo,
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy BIrthday to you,
You look like a gorgeous hippo,
You smell like one too!Anyhoo, I hope you like my video present to you mi amor!

Fiona weighed just 29 pounds when she was born on Jan. 24, 2017.
That’s 25 pounds lighter than the lowest recorded birth weight among hippos, where the normal range is 55 to 120 pounds.
But she grew and grew and grew.

It’s been the baby journal followed around the world.
Here’s a compilation of her story so far.
And hip-hippo horray to many more cakes to come.
