Huge pod of “Wild Horses of the Sea” captured on video as dolphins swim off California coast

Pro athlete and stuntman Chuck Patterson spends a lot of time in the water, but never has he seen something like this.

“Absolutely mind blowing amazing, witnessing this huge pod of young dolphins marching up the coast off Laguna Beach today,” Patterson posted on Instagram and Twitter June 14.

He called them “Wild Horses of the Sea.”

And, a teachable moment for humans to clean up their act.

“Mother Natures amazing wonders never disappoint,” he wrote. “Highlighting the importance in protecting this magic by cleaning up our oceans and use of single use plastics.”

At one point, a small Sea-Doo like boat is seen racing along with the dolphins.

But it’s not clear what it’s doing, or whether the animals are fleeing from it as they swim off Laguna Beach.

Still, Patterson and his friend on the larger boat are in awe.

And he calls for humans to ditch plastics as a way to protect these beautiful creatures.
