It’s taken two and a half months since the impeachment hearings first began on Sept 17 and on Wednesday, the first animal reference was made.
The Republican’s legal expert in the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump says everyone is angry about politics right now, including his dog Luna.
Jonathan Turley, a George Washington law professor, and the expert for the Republicans said the anger is everywhere and the process is being rushed.
There is an “abundance of anger” Turley said Wednesday.
Turley testified that the president was “anything but perfect” in his phone call with Ukrainian president but the legal case for impeachment wasn’t there.
“One can oppose President Trump’s policies or actions but still conclude that the current legal case for impeachment is not just woefully inadequate, but in some respects dangerous.”
Turley, who has referenced his dog before on his Twitter account, mentioned his dog in the hearing.

Turley said that he understands why people are upset.
I get it. You’re mad,” he said. “The president’s mad. My Republican friends are mad. My Democratic friends are mad. My wife is mad. My kids are mad. Even my dog seems mad. And Luna’s a goldendoodle, and they don’t get mad. So we’re all mad.”
There’s also now a parody account claiming to be Luna the Goldendoodle.
Congratulations, you’ve joined a long line of iconic dogs in politics: from FDR’s Fala speech, to Truman’s quip, “If you want a friend in Washington, get a dog,” and Nixon’s Checkers. #goldendoodle #goldendoodle #JonathanTurley
