“It was a case of ‘fowl’ play,” Alberta RCMP said in a recent social media post with tongue placed firmly in beak.
Last week, an exotic bird was stolen from an Alberta pet store, sending Mounties looking high and low for the missing critter in a dying days of winter. The investigation — and the puns didn’t stop there.
“Officers few into action and were able to recover the bird later that day,” RCMP explained.
“It was safely returned to its flock,” police added.
Consider it another case of Mounties always being able to get their man — or bird, as it were.
