Police dog Kyra with the Johns Creek Police Department in Georgia has a little extra protection these days because some of her new friends decided she needed a bulletproof vest. 
Six-year-old Caden Kelly led the charge to raise money for Kyra after learning the police K-9 didn’t have a bulletproof vest.
A vest for a dog costs thousands of dollars so Caden got busy.
He led the charge as part of the community service projects he has to do in order to get his black belt.
Caden’s fundraising raised $2,400, enough for a custom-fitted vest for Caden’s new friend.
