In case you missed it during Christmas time festivities, this happened.
During last Sunday’s Cincinnati Bengals game, fans were given an unusual form of halftime entertainment.
“Monkeys riding dogs herding sheep,” the obviously stunned television announcer said. “I don’t think I’ve ever used that sentence.”
The football press was similarly flummoxed by this only in America moment.
“Think about how far we’ve come as a human race that we’re now able to teach monkeys to ride domesticated canines that chase after a flock of rams,” the Sporting News proclaimed. “World peace can’t be too far off.”
Perhaps some monkey business gave the Bengals a boost as the team clinched a spot in the playoffs after embarrassing the Minnesota Vikings 42-14.
