Rudy the bulldog didn’t win the agility competition at Westminster this weekend but he sure won the Internet after the stout dog showed fierce determination and unexpected speed.
A border collie named Verb won the agility contest at 32.05 seconds.
But Rudy came in second and finished at 46.63 seconds (officially 51.63 seconds after receiving a fault).
Despite the loss, he won applause. Sometimes low expectations can make anyone a star.
As the announcer at the show said:
Nobody expected this from a bulldog tonight.”

Other bulldog owners showed off their less agile dogs.
