Tracie Byrd was checking out the storm in her Myrtle Beach neighbourhood when she spotted an alligator.
The alligator was strolling through the road from one pond to another in the Osprey Cove neighbourhood.
Byrd says there are a number of alligators nearby. The one she filmed was one of the smaller ones. There is another 12-footer alligator who lives in a nearby pond.
In the video, you can hear someone yell “run gator, run!’
In addition to the alligator, officials in Myrtle Beach also warned that snakes may have been dislocated from their habitats and now in the nearby waterways.
An official warned that people should not be out during the storm. But anyone who encounters a snake and gets bitten, they should go to a hospital as soon as possible.
