Shark pulls surfer off board in Australia

A surfer in Western Australia was dragged into the water off his surfboard by a whale but incredibly wasn’t hurt in the attack.

The man was surfing at a well-known spot called Toms Surf Break in North Beach over the weekend when a bronze whaler grabbed onto his leg rope and dragged him into the water.

A shark warning has been issued for the surf break and Hammersly Pool, the seashores stay open.

“The surfer sustained no injuries, but the leg rope was damaged,” Shark Smart wrote on their web site.

The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development is patrolling the world the place surfers are already again in motion.

“Shark warning issued for Hamersley Pool after an interaction with a shark at North Beach was reported at 11:37am,” Surf Life Saving WA tweeted following the incident.
