Squeee! Rescued baby beaver lounging in pool wins the internet

A few days before Canada Day, a baby beaver was found alone and with an injury to its tail on a Calgary-area golf course.

The teeny tiny beaver was admitted to the Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation (AIWC) back on June 27. A week later, he became an internet celebrity.

“As part of his care, the beaver kit requires time in a pool several times a day,” the centre said. “A video of him grooming himself and enjoying pool time went live on AIWC’s Instagram page and went viral. In less than 24-hours, the video has reached over 100,000 views and continues to gain momentum!”
