Super Bowl predictions. In Critters we Trust

A Utah ape is predicting a Seahawks win,  as does the psychic bunny of L.A. and the psychic porcupine of Dallas.

But Broncos fans, there’s still a glimmer of hope: the psychic manatees of Sarasota, Florida split their prediction.

If you were trusting critters to tell you who’s gonna win today’s Super Bowl, put your money on the Seahawks.

Eli, the ape from Utah who has a track record of eight consecutive wins, picked the Seahawks. He chooses who is going to be the Superbowl champ by papier-mache helmets. This year, he swotted the Seahawks one over the Broncos papier-mache.  As the Associated Press points out, that’s bad news for Denver fans. The 13-year-old primate hasn’t been wrong since 2006.

Less certain were the manatees Hugh and Buffett, the Mote Marine Laboratory manatees from Florida  The two manatees split the difference.

Hugh went for the Broncos target featured up against the walls of their aquarium while Buffett went for the Seahawks. But even though they each picked different opponents, their track record may be a factor.

Buffett has chosen the right team for the last six years, according to the Bradenton.com while Hugh has been right four out of six Super Bowls.

Not to be left out: Teddy Bear, the porcupine from a zoo in Dallas picked the Seahawks and Fred, the tarot-playing rescue rabbit, also picked the Seattle team.

Princess, the New Jersey zoo camel, who used to pick the Super Bowl winner based on the graham cracker she chose to consume first, died earlier this year. Between 2006 and 2014, she chose the winning NFL team 113 out of 175 times and accurately consumed the Super Bowl champion graham cracker six out of seven times.
