The Santa Paula Police department is looking for a suspect involved in what it calls a “heinous incident involving animal cruelty.”
Last Friday, someone stabbed T-Rex, an American Staffordshire terrier five times.
The jerk appears to have intentionally let “T-Rex” and a second dog out of the backyard of their home.
A neighbour called police after seeing what happened, the second dog was found uninjured by the fence of her residence and shaking after the incident.
T-Rex, a two-year-old male, was stabbed in the neck and abdomen and bleeding profusely when located.
A $2,000 reward was announced on Sunday.
