A Vancouver crow is getting international attention after it was spotted picking up a knife from a crime scene and fleeing the scene.
The crow, who has been named Canuck by his “adopted” dad Shawn who helped raised him after the bird fell from a nest as a hatchling, has appeared in publications as far away as Switzerland and Russia.
Shawn wrote on Facebook that the crow didn’t leave after he learned to fly and gained enough strength to take on the outside world. Shawn tied an orange zip on the crow’s leg so he could be easily identified to let people know he’s had human contact.
Shawn recognize it was Canuck who was the culprit after a tweet from reporter Mike Howell, a long time Vancouver journalist for the Vancouver Courier.
