Turkey dies in melee with territorial geese at University of Waterloo

Yesterday we told you about a Canada goose that is terrorizing staff and students at the University of Waterloo in Ontario. Well now, the madcap goose has taken down a turkey. Colin Wallace took a photo of the wayward turkey before it flew away from a pair of nesting territorial geese and straight into the third-floor window of the English and philosophy building.

This is the University of Waterloo English Department blog account of the rather horrifying event under the headline, “Turkey Demolishes Hagey Hall.”

“I cannot make this stuff up: on the heels of the goose nicknamed the “Spawn of Satan” which has been terrorizing Hagey Hall, the turkey who was determined to gain entry last week has finally achieved his goal, smashing through a third-floor window. I can honestly say I never thought I would be referencing WKRP on the UWaterloo English Department blog, but it turns out turkeys really can fly.”

Local also CBC recounted events, which sadly ended with the turkey’s demise. Its throat cut so badly, it had to be euthanized.
