We’ve seen a baby rhino at the Blank Park Zoo take her first bath.
But have you seen a baby rhino discovering snow? Zookeepers at the Des Moines, Iowa facility hauled in a small pile to her holding area after a recent snowfall.
It may not be her natural environment, but it sure is cute to watch what looks like playful puppy rolling in the snow.
The 80-pound female eastern black rhino calf was born on October 11, 2016. She still doesn’t have a name.
But she is a huge boost for the critically endangered species. There are perhaps 1,000 eastern black rhinos left in the world
