Catskill Animal Sanctuary, located two hours north of New York City in Saugerties, NY, rescues farmed animals, champions veganism and recently welcomed in six baby goats to their site.
The baby goats were housed in a maternity stall and are a bundle of energy as you can see from the video below.
Now one of the most rambunctious of the babies, Little Violet, made her debut outside and discovered a big world out there with rocks to conquer.
The video has charmed tens of thousands of people with some commentators wondering how they can get their own little goat.
Another commentator asked about the sweater:
Why is she wearing a jumper? Surely that will make it easier for her to get mites and other pests? I mean, these little buggers are evolved to live outside, surely she doesn’t need to be dressed up unless it’s really cold..? o.O
Catskill Animal Sanctuary replied:
Violet is bundle of energy in the video, but she was still just a week old after being born prematurely. Indoors she’s coatless, but just like human babies she’s susceptible to the cold. When she grows up, she’ll be able to go outside without one. Until then, we’re keeping her warm and fashionable.
Here’s one minute of pure baby goat happiness.
