“It’s coming!”
A terrified South Australian woman seemed genuinely worried when a koala bear suddenly gave chase as she tried to ride away on her quad-bike.
Those koala bears can run a lot faster than we thought. At one point, all four of its chubby legs were off the ground and it was catching up.
“Get away,” yelled Ebony Churchill as the koala came closer and closer. “Get away, oh my God!”
Finally Churchill was forced to abandon her bike on the muddy track after the koala caught up to her and latched onto her vehicle.
“Oh my god, I can’t move,” she can be heard saying. “Where the bloody hell is it? Oh my god it’s on the friggin’ bike!
The koala had climbed on to one of the fat tires and looked pretty satisfied that it took down a quad bike.
In an interview with the Adelaide Now Advertiser newspaper, Churchill, a dairy farmer, said she believes the koala got a bit of a crush on her.
“He was in love with me and I rejected him so he chased me…He was close but then he started running towards me and I thought I better speed up (on the quad bike)…But the more I sped up, the faster he got.
By the time Churchill got to the end of the cows, she couldn’t go any further so she bailed off the bike thinking the koala would lose interest.
He didn’t and clung to the tires until he finally realized true love wasn’t in store for him that afternoon.
