Shane Hescox, a former resident of Niagara in New York, was arrested by police after witnesses told officials that the man repeatedly kicked a cat.
The domestic short hair tortoiseshell cat named Misty is in veterinarian care at Gerber Small Animal Hospital.
Hescox was seen on a live feed camera allegedly kicking the cat repeatedly and apparently is in a dispute with the cat’s owner.
The incident occurred outside a Rhode Island address in the town of Niagara.
Misty has a broken jaw and several missing teeth.
Hescox is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday night on felony animal cruelty charges.
