The U.S. Olympic Team was quick to proclaim it.
“G.O.A.T 🇺🇸” the squad tweeted moments after swimming superstar Michael Phelps won his 21st Olympic gold medal. He claimed the historic medal in the 4×200 metre freestyle relay tonight at the Rio Games.
Oh, and that was soon after he won gold in the 200 m butterfly.

Of course, Phelps is not really a goat. But he may just be the Greatest Of All Time. A title usually bestowed upon the late great Muhammad Ali. GOAT started trending on Twitter soon after the legendary boxer died in June. So who really is the GOAT? It’s tough to pick a champ. By Olympic standards, Phelps by a country mile.
Yes, it’s true. @MichaelPhelps is tied with Ethiopia for most Gold Medals in Olympic history. #GOAT pic.twitter.com/ivOAyqWvJL — Kim Sy (@imboyster) August 10, 2016
And that’s good enough for a lot of folks (minus, the typo.)

In case you really wanted to see goats. Here you go. Here are the city of Calgary’s invasive weed clearing goats in action. You’re welcome.
