Swiss dairy farmers are pretty fond of their cows, as you can see in this video.
The short video a few years ago shot by a tourist who was staying at a nearby hikers hut in Rotstockhütte which is part of the farm.
Turns out the cow had a bad hoof and because it would have been too difficult for the critter to manage walking down the mountain to the vet, a helicopter transfer was arranged for it to be airlifted down instead.
Swiss cows are some of the best treated in the world. Most are dairy cows and are kept on small farms with herds of only one or two dozen.
They have names instead of numbers and Jay Wilson, the hiker who shot the video said he wished he knew the name of the cow.
We’re going to name her Secret Agent Cow.
