Can’t look. Can’t look. But can’t look away. A spider bite actually liquefied part of a woman’s ear.
The 22-year-old woman from the Netherlands was vacationing in Italy when a Mediterranean recluse spider nipped at her ear and unleashing a tissue-killing venom. At first, doctors didn’t understand the nature of the problem and the woman returned home, only to watch her ear turn black and deteriorate. Doctors finally made a proper diagnosis and embarked on reconstructive surgery.
