Critter Files is siding with the bear on this one.
A wild bear that wandered into a local shopping mall in Khabarovsk, Russia was shot dead by local police.
The bear can’t be blamed. Apparently, the bear somehow got into the mall and appeared to be racing around trying to get out.
Locals screamed in terror in the video as the bear got to a door and got outside. 
Heavily armed police guards tracked the bear down as it ran to a nearby playground and shot it dead. A city official said:
Without waiting for the veterinary service to arrive the bear was killed in order to avoid any attacks against local residents.”
To us, it looks like the bear was panicking and only wanted to escape.
Local animal activists were also outraged. NAtalia Kovalenko told Vesti.ru that the bear was only acting defensively.
First they made it crazy by smoking it out of the mall, then when the animal came out and was defending itself out of fear, they shot it”
The AP reports that the bear was between 2 and 3 years of age.
