Deer stop traffic – and blow minds – on the Golden Gate Bridge

California commuters were stopped in their tracks Friday afternoon as two deer made their way across the Golden Gate Bridge. The animals, which trotted across the iconic piece of San Francisco infrastructure just before 5:30 p.m. sending drivers and passengers to their phones to snap away. Rebecca Abbey captured this image, along with the fitting hashtag #deergate, and posted it to Instagram, where it spread like wildfire.

“You just don’t see this everyday,” she wrote.

The animals made it off the bridge safely, according to California Highway Patrol.
