Jo Paw-velski better rub some more of her black magic on the Sharks.
You’ll remember Jo, the little black kitty that made a dash on the ice as the San Jose Sharks took on the Nashville Predators at home last week. The cat proved to be good luck for the Sharks in a come-from-behind win in Game 1.
The cat has since taken up residence at the Humane Society Silicon Valley and become somewhat of an internet celebrity. Jo Paw-velski, named for the actual hockey player, Joe Pavelski, even has her own webcam.
“The animal lovin’ hockey team got her and brought her to safety. Jo Paw-velski (as she’s been called) is taking a few days to relax and get some food and rest while we try and see if there’s an owner looking for her. If no one comes forward, she’ll be looking for a new home. We’ll keep you posted! In the meantime, you can keep up with her here! Huge kudos to the Sharks for going out of their way to help a scared kitty and for winning their game this past weekend!”

But the team’s talisman just wasn’t enough to push the Sharks over the top Monday night. San Jose lost to the Preds 4-3 in overtime, keeping Nashville’s Stanley Cup bid alive. The series is tied 3-3. Game 7 goes on Thursday.
