Critters predict the Super Bowl (and seriously, it’s too close to call)

The annual parade of critters making their Super Bowl predictions might not be very scientific, but my God, they are cute. Here’s a selection to help guide your bets. (Not that we’re encouraging gambling, of course.)

So, who is it on the eve of Super Bowl 49? Seattle Seahawks or New England Patriots in 2015? We’ll let this collection of critters make the call.

A porcupine on a winning streak:

(Winner Seahawks.)

Red-legged seriema selects:

(Winner Seahawks.)

Tiger pulls the trigger on:

(Winner Pats.)

Homeless dog hones in on:

(Winner Pats.)

Parrot and guinea pig pick:

(Split decision)

Mantees manage:

(Split decision.)

Lion leans toward:

(Mauling the Pats.)

Elephant elects:

(Winner Pats.)

Octopus picks:

(Winner Seahawks.)

Tortoise touts:

(Winner Pats.)

Sea turtle selects:

(Winner Pats.)

Waffles the Cat chooses:

(Winner Seahawks.)

Otter opts for:

(Winner Seahawks)

Giraffe goes for:

(Winner Pats.)

Polar bear predicts:

Penguins pick:

By their count, a dead heat.

Of course, we’re partial to the Seahawks. That’s only because for Super Bowl 49, Seattle is the only team with an animal in the game.
