Frankie Muniz got a hard lesson in leaving a cat alone for too long.
The former Malcolm in the Middle star turned Dancing with the Stars Juniors co-host returned from an overseas trip to find his cat had turned on a faucet and accidentally flooded his Phoenix home.
His cat Jeri seemed to have the run of the place for a spell.
I arrived home from my uncle’s funeral to find 4 of my 5 story brownstone home under 3 feet of water. Everything I own, destroyed. Every wall, piece of artwork, personal photos, furniture… All because my cat accidentally turned on a sink a few days ago while we were gone.

The trip to his uncle’s funeral, he later clarified, was a grand total of 45 hours.
I’m devastated and exhausted from a tough week with the loss of my Uncle Skip, 45 hours of travel to and from France to walk in to find this disaster. I’ve cried more yesterday and today then my whole life combined. Forgive me for venting.. I just need some support.

It’s not clear when the cat turned the water on or who was looking after the white and black feline.
And the place was pretty spectacular, according to azcentral.com.
I know this sounds ridiculous, but I swear it’s true. You wouldn’t believe the destruction.

But Jeri has acted like the place was hers for a while.
The TV star has been staying at a hotel — but even that hasn’t gone smoothly.
Just woke up to fire alarms and had to evacuate the hotel we are staying in because of what happened to our house. This has been an eventful week.

But he managed to salvage the week.
The 32-year-old actor just got engaged to his long-term girlfriend Paige Price.
Price posted the news on Instagram writing, “When you’re a little girl, you dream of marrying the man of your dreams.”
Ahhhhh.
Some people have questioned why the cat was left alone at all.
Others are sympathizing or having fun with the situation.
As the spokesperson for @frankiemuniz & @paigey_price’s cat Jeri, I offer:
“My client is the victim of a smear campaign. We retained the firm of Felix & Sylvester to conduct an investigation. Early results show another paw is to blame but we’re taking the high-road, for now.” pic.twitter.com/4r9jC4ERWx

Either way, we’re sure Jeri didn’t really mean it.

Or, maybe the couple knew she’d be up to no good all along.
