If anyone has lost a baby ostrich in a German town this weekend, it’s been found.
Passerbys in the town of Krefeld, Germany noticed a bird unlike others wandering around. It turned out to be a 4 foot six (1.4 metre tall) ostrich.
The fire department was called and helped capture the bird which was later brought to an animal shelter.
A vet there checked out the chick and found it to be healthy and about 4 to 5 months old.
Krefeld Zoo, in the town, said the bird wasn’t one of theirs.
