Pets really are like family.
And one woman recently went to extraordinary lengths to prove it by smuggling a dog into the hospital to visit her ailing grandmother.
“My grandma is in the hospital right now and wanted to see her dog,” Shelby Hennick posted on Twitter. “So I made it look like I was carrying a baby and we made it 😂❤”
The outpouring to the California woman has been massive.
People just love seeing Patsy, the dog, reunited with her owner, Dona.

People even responded with their owner stories of dog smuggling.
Did the same thing for my grandpa when he was in the hospital but ours wasn’t as easy to sneak in 😂 pic.twitter.com/g4aBfQ2BVL

Hennick, by the way, knows a thing or two about animals.
She’s a veterinary technician who just loves her job.
