5,000 ponds of honey stolen from bee far, queen bee likely killed

They’re looking for a honey thief in Montana.

Someone stole 5,000 pounds of honey from a Montana bee farm.

Over a two day period from Sept 1-2, 200 boxes of honey were lifted from Tuesday and Scott Clark’s business, Clark Honey.

Scott Clark says he’s not sure if the queen bee was taken during the theft. If so, the entire hive’s brood of baby bees and larvae is dead.

Tuesday Clark says the theft required a flatbed truck or trailer plus equipment to transport the boxes from the bee yard.

The bee farmers are offering a $1,000 reward for the return of the honey.
