Chaotic, hectic Times Square is always buzzing at all times of the day and night.
But there was something different Tuesday when one busy corner was locked down after a swarm of bees descended on a food vendor’s hot dog cart.
Tourists snapped and posted photos and videos of the strange sight.
NYPD’s official bee keeper was called in.
It's called a bee-vac and we fear not – the swarm will be released to a new hive far away from Times Square. https://t.co/nWiHU97QZI

About 25k were relocated after getting notified from our great crowd in Times Square. Over crowded hive on a very humid day caused them to take temporary residence while scout bees are out finding a new permanent residence. https://t.co/SkKIDoEJZV
