Dogs hate boots. Like, really, really hate walking in boots

Dogs walking, or rather trying to walk, in boots is the best thing on the internet this week.

People posting photos and videos of their boot-clad pooches literally stopped in their tracks — with their owners laughing at them — is drawing guffaws around the world.

“My mom bought my dog boots for the winter and now he won’t move,” wrote Caitlyn Silverthorn, and posted the photo above of her dog.

Twitter even collected similar images of dogs indoors — and outside on snow — under the heading, “Dogs can’t walk in boots.”

“This is why the expression isn’t pooch in boots,” the social media site noted.

That’s the Christmas spirit: Buy your best friend a present they hate, laugh at them and post their reaction online. Some people would call that cyber-bullying. Most people will still laugh.

For what it’s worth, I once put boots on my cats. Picture Bambi on ice, but with the I’m-going-to-claw-your-eyes-out death glare.
