A young woman who stopped her car to help some kittens cross the road was attacked by a driver who pulled up behind her.
Nanaimo RCM say the 17-year-ol victim was driving down the road around 1:30 a.m. last Wednesday when she stopped after spotting the kittens.
She got out of the vehicle when she was allegedly thrown to the ground. The young woman had briefly spoken to the driver before the attack but doesn’t say what may have caused his attack.
At one point she lost consciousness during the attack. She suffered cuts to her hands and knees. Police say the attack was an attempted abduction.
Const. Gary O’Brien says the teen drove home and called 911.
The alleged attacker has been described as someone in his early to mid-20s.
