One would think this is unnecessary nanny state advice.
But nope, cops in Alberta are warning passersby not to stop and take a selfie with a moose that was meandering in traffic.
The Calgary Police Service took to social media to issue the unusual alert.
Aside from the advice being directed at, well, stupid people, it provided a wonderful comedic opportunity.
Another police force took took the opportunity to troll Calgary cops about it.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary posted a series of missives about the wandering moose, which is a pretty common problem in that east coast province.
